Troubleshooting

Recorded voice & audio

Check voice availability, player filters and audio levels in the replay tools.

Check what the recording contains

Recorded voice is available only when the demo contains a supported, decodable voice format. Demo Trace cannot reconstruct missing voice. Some recordings may play correctly with no usable recorded voice.

Open Tools, then Voice & audio. Read the availability message for the current recording before changing volume or filters.

Check the audio controls

  1. Turn on Play recorded voice when voice is available.

  2. Start with All players to rule out an overly narrow filter. If you use Selected player, check which player is selected.

  3. Check Player voices, individual player volumes and the audio options. Also check Windows output volume and the selected output device.

  4. Try another recording with known voice content. If only one demo is silent, include that detail in your support request.

Timing and reporting

Voice alignment depends on recording data and engine/capture timing; it is not a promise of sample-exact synchronization. Report whether the problem is silence, one missing player or a consistent timing offset.

The Export this round voice control concerns recorded audio for that round; it is not a video export. For help, email support@demo-trace.com with the app version, the observed voice availability and the filters you used.
