03 / REVIEW

Open a local demo

Open a local .dem, .dem.gz or .dem.zst recording from the application. Keep the original file available: the demo library stores shortcuts to it. Navigate rounds, follow perspectives and save notes for your next review.

Review one round at a time

Start with a round you want to understand. Follow a recorded player, pause before the key event and replay at a slower speed. Add a bookmark and note so you can return to that moment.

If a demo parses but playback fails, check the installed CS2 build and the release's known issues. Recorded voice depends on the recording; timing is an engine/capture estimate, not sample-exact synchronization.

Demo compatibility and system requirements
Published release notes identify the functionality actually included in each build.
